Platform

T-Hawk field / laboratory platform

A discovery platform that starts in the desert at night and ends with a molecule that can actually be manufactured.

Discovery platform: five stages
01

Venom Library: Collection Protocols

Permitted seasonal field collection across five arthropod orders, with organism-, organ-, and venom-level protocols developed for each lineage. Flash-freeze handling where autoproteolysis is a known risk.

02

Peptide Identification: Genomics / Proteomics

Intelligent genomic sequencing paired with targeted LC-MS/MS proteomics performed by skilled institutional partners captures a complete survey of the active venom peptide components.

03

Target Validation: Ion Channels / Antimicrobial HTS

Candidate peptides are screened against ion channel panels and antimicrobial high-throughput assays to confirm activity, selectivity, and subtype sparing.

04

Lead Optimization: Single Cell / Patch Clamp

Automated and manual patch clamp electrophysiology at specialist CROs establishes potency and selectivity against human channel subtypes.

05

Development Candidates: Manufacturing Feasibility

Every candidate is tested against a production route, recombinant expression or synthesis, before it is called a development candidate. Manufacturability is a selection criterion, not a downstream surprise.

In-house

What T-Hawk owns

  • Collection range access, seasonal timing, and species-specific field protocols.
  • The organism / peptide / mechanism database underlying candidate prioritization.
  • Multi-dimensional scoring that ranks candidates on potency, selectivity, safety, manufacturability, and freedom to operate, before spend is committed.
Contracted

What partners run

  • Genomics and Proteomics at institutional analytics partners.
  • Automated patch clamp ion channel validation at specialist CROs.
  • Peptide production: recombinant expression for novel sequences, synthesis for known references.

Capital is spent on assets and IP rather than on instruments and square footage.
